Read V.D.Hansen’s ‘Salamis’ (you will find it after chap17). You will be asked on the exam to identify his main arguments concerning the Persian War.

I think Athens was a great city. Athens was home too many Greek innovators, philosophers, mathematicians, and politicians lives there. Athens was also the birthplace of modern democracy, a very influential political ideology.
