    • I chose this thesis because it clearly lays out the foundation for the rest of the essay. It is concise, but at the same time sets up the whole writing and states exactly what the essay will address.

    I thought these were the most powerful and specific. They did not just state the obvious, but dug deeper. Also #3 mentions characters in The Illiad, which makes it more real. Finally, they do a good job of comparing and contrasting.

    I feel that these theses are the best because they show best were the essay is going to go and give a persise reason as to why The Iliad is a true war story. B is the best because it applies to all of time, not just ancient Greece.

    i chose these because they give details and site characters as well as themes in the story. also they are not all filler and get straight to the point of why the think the Illiad is a true war story.
